YCS offers beginner-friendly music lessons for children and teens ages 6–17 in Balch Springs. Students can learn piano, drums, guitar, voice, violin, ukulele and more with supportive instructors in a creative, community-focused environment.

Saturday sessions are organized by age:
Ages 6–9 — 11 AM
Ages 10–12 — 12 PM
Ages 13–17 — 1 PM

Schedule

  • Students arrive, tune their instruments, and warm up with light rhythm exercises, creative prompts, and guided practice to get focused and performance-ready.

  • A playful, beginner-friendly music experience designed for ages 6–9. Students explore rhythm, basic chords, and simple songs through fun group activities, movement, and interactive games. We focus on building confidence, listening skills, and a love for music in a supportive, high-energy environment.

  • Skill development and song structure. Students build technique, learn chord progressions, collaborate in small groups, and begin performing full songs.

  • Artist development and performance training. Advanced students focus on stage presence, songwriting, band collaboration, and live performance preparation.

    All programs focus on confidence, creativity, teamwork, and real musical growth.

    If your child does not own an instrument yet, contact us before the first session.

    • Drop-off begins at the scheduled time.

    • Pick-up must be on time at the end of the session.

    Our instructors transition between sessions and prepare for other students. Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional fees or loss of enrollment priority.
